A CERULEAN SIGH

A CERULEAN SIGH

Mountains reach for the sky,

Arms reaching so high.

White cotton balls drifting by

On a Cerulean sigh.

The cold air hits my face

As I pick up my pace.

I must get home soon post haste

Before my nest falls to waste.

Babies wait for mother

And not any other.

Beaks open wide for some food,

Squeaking in their frantic mood.

I can see my nest from here.

I soar down as I draw near.

Little heads bop up and down

As I dive closer to ground.

Chirps of joy greet my ears,

Helps allay any fears

That an intruder entered my domain.

I am happy that all appear the same.

FLYING HIGH

What does it feel like to fly,
Lifting off to reach the sky?
Soaring to a new height.
A bird’s exclusive right.

All alone and way up high,
Nary a cloud in the sky.
Take me along with you please.
What can I do to appease?

I want to fly over the land
To the tune of a marching band.
Over the water, I go.
It would make a great show.

GOODBYE

TO BE FREE

I want to be free.

I need to be free.

To fly far away.

Above all else.

To soar high above.

To peer down.

Through the mighty clouds.

Upon all else.

My wings are spreading.

My head held high.

Feathers to the wind.

Face to the sun.

Goodbye to all.

Goodbye to the mundane.

Goodbye to the everyday.

Goodbye to all else.

TAKE A JOURNEY WITH ME

TAKE A JOURNEY WITH ME

Take a journey with me.
Far away as can be.
Where the skies are as blue
As is the grass for you.
Where hope reigns blue
And dreams come true.
Where a tree grows bright
With a glowing light.
Stand under its gleaming shade
And your light will never fade.
Keep your spirits up high
And your face to the sky.
Take a journey with me.
Far away as can be.
