The earth weeps tears
to fill an ocean.
As oceans fill with waste,
no one takes notice.
As icebergs melt and crumble,
no one stops to listen.
But once a deadly virus appears,
the world wakes in an uproar.
The danger has hit home.
Ready to tackle any hardship.
Then comes the crack.
The one obstacle we can’t overcome.
It will break us.
Or make us stronger.
The choice is ours.
The stars shine each night
to ease our combined fright.
They wait for us to shine.
So, please do not pine.
We’ll make it through this hell
to ring the nightly bell.
