Color my world.
In shades of purple.
In hues of violet.
Cover the world
The good.
The bad.
The ugly.
In purple.
Color my world.
In shades of purple.
In hues of violet.
Cover the world
The good.
The bad.
The ugly.
In purple.
My eyes see the light beyond
where humans hurry to and fro.
My eyes see the darkness inside
where humans have no pride.
They fight and attack each other
with no regard for their species.
They rant and rave over their passions
with little concern for the welfare of others.
My eyes see the good and the bad,
leaving me all too sad.

Do you like what you see
in the mirror every morning?
Is it revealing a hidden secret,
buried deep inside yourself?
A horror that no one can ever see.
A feeling.
A thought.
So repulsive that
it must never see
the light of day.
Keep it hidden behind
your pretty face.
For no one to ever suspect.
What are you hiding?

Is this you?
At times I feel this way.
I feel like murdering someone.
Cutting their heart out
of their mean and vengeful body.
But we can’t.
We’re humans with
compassion and forgiveness
in our hearts.
But it does feel good to think
like this when we’re hurt and angry.
So think your crazy thoughts and
then put on your happy face.
No one will ever know.
OUR TRUE FACE
What face do you show to the world?
Is it a happy face with smiles and laughs?
Or a sad face with frowns and whimpers?
Whatever face we might show,
there’s another face hidden behind it.
Our true face that very few see.
The face that accurately reflects our dreams,
desires, fears, and thoughts.
Complex thoughts that are never revealed to others.
As I watch people, I try to envision their true face.
At times, I can see it in their eyes;
for eyes more accurately reflect our inner thoughts.
So put on your fake face but you can only try to
disguise yourself with your eyes.
For the eyes tell all.

“Hi everyone,
I’m a creation of nature
like everyone else.
I have thoughts and feelings
even though I’m not the cutest.
Don’t step on me and let
me live free.”
Then I walked around him and
let him wiggle away.
Maybe this was what he was thinking.
What do you see when you scrape away
the outer layer of skin?
What lies inside a person?
Besides organs, what is there?
Is there a soul?
A soul devoted to goodness or evil?
That is the question we should be asking
when we first meet someone.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
What is beautiful to one person,
can look ugly to another.
What matters is the beauty inside.
Nothing can mask an evil being.
