THE EVIL STAIRCASE

THE EVIL STAIRCASE

No one answers our knock.

The front door drifts open.

I step into the dark hallway.

My friends close behind.

A dark staircase looms above us.

Gargoyles stand guard along its banisters.

Lights flicker from the right hallway.

A cold draft hits our left shoulders.

What should we do?

THE DEAD GAME by Susanne Leist

I’M HERE

Yes, I’m here.

I visit your dreams.

Twisting them into nightmares.

I’m not an illusion

or a figment of your imagination.

I am you.

The dark part of you.

The part you can’t escape from.

I visit your dreams.

I twist your mind.

You can now see me clearly.

Other times I’m in your mind.

A DOORWAY

A doorway to hell and beyond.

Your dreams might come true.

Or your nightmares might rule.

Twisted limbs beg forgiveness.

Beckoning for your presence.

The midnight dance has begun.

Come and join in on the fun.
