SLEEP FOR THE WEARY

SLEEP FOR THE WEARY

The sun peeks through

a canopy of trees.

A blanket of color

protects me with leaves.

I’m sheltered with

soft petals of pink.

Like velvet sheets

splattered with ink.

A bed in the petals

offers rest for the weary.

I give a sigh of contentment

as my eyes grow teary.

BLUE HAZE

Feelings of softest blue.

This is how I see you.

Through a film of ice,

You appear so nice.

A reflection it is

That I can never miss.

As leaves float high,

I peer up at the sky

I still see your face

In every place.

I can feel your hot gaze

Even in this haze.

Please come back to me,

And we can float free.

LET IT BLOOM

LET IT BLOOM

Watch the rose bloom.
It’s not too soon.

The lovely smell.
It rings my bell.

The pink color.
Like no other.

Face to the sun.
Ready for fun.

Velvet to the touch.
I love it so much.

I’m ready for spring.
To hear the birds sing.

I’m eager for the first bloom.
Definitely not too soon.

Let it bloom.
