A FIELD OF BLUE BONNETS

As I walk in a field of bluebonnets,

I desire to compose for them sonnets.

The sweet fragrance fills my soul

until I am again whole.

I’m tired, but I smile

like I’ve walked a mile.

I’ll make my flowered bed

and rest my weary head.

My thoughts drift below,

somewhere over the rainbow.

SMELL THE FLOWERS

Who bothers to stop and smell the flowers?

We’re too busy each day.

Most of us don’t even have flowers.

But we have imaginations.

We can use them to escape.

From the mundane.

From our work.

From the everyday.

To explore new dimensions.

New places.

Far away places.

The cat has it right.

Stop and smell the flowers.

THE SIMPLE LIFE

couchdad:peter shire house by glen.h

We forget to have fun.

We forget to enjoy life.

We forget the beauty

and the simplicity

of everyday life.

It is full of color

and adventure.

Watch the children.

They don’t forget.

They don’t forget to smell the flowers

or have fun with life.

Be a child for a day.

PARADISE IS CALLING

What would paradise

look like to you?

I would say that it would

look like this picture.

A house in calm water.

The air smelling of flowers.

People moving in slow motion.

No need to hurry.

Warm breezes.

Sun shining.

Birds chirping.

What else could you

possibly ask for?

Ashikaga Flower Park Beautiful gorgeous pretty flowers

What a beautiful canopy of flowers

to relax under.

What stories I could create

in the shade of the pretty blossoms.

I need to find a tree like this.
