ONCE IS ENOUGH
The simple.
The pure.
The first time.
Done once.
Done the right way.
ONCE IS ENOUGH
The simple.
The pure.
The first time.
Done once.
Done the right way.

There’s beauty in the simple,
in the flow of a sweeping vine,
in the perfection of a rose.
Enough to brighten a day,
to fill you with its scent,
to entice you with its passion.
To leave you with serenity.
Beauty in the simple.
The flow of a falling vine.
The perfection of a rose.
Enough to brighten a day.
Fill you with its scent.
Entice you with its hue.
Fill you with serenity.
We walk alone
through the cold and rain.
We carry our troubles
on our weary backs.
The load gets heavier
each and every year.
We grow older
but not always wiser.
When will life become simpler?
When will the load lighten?
Not in this lifetime.
Maybe in the next.
This is what life is all about.
The simple.
The pure.
The first time.
Done once.
And done the right way.

What does a person need?
To make him feel safe.
To feel secure.
To feel at peace
with the world.
A stream of water.
A few mountains.
Some sunshine.
Birds chirping.
Blue sky peeking
through the entrance
to your own cave.
It can be as simple
as a floating leaf.
We need so little.
We require so little
to survive.
Yet the world provides us
with so much more.

We forget to have fun.
We forget to enjoy life.
We forget the beauty
and the simplicity
of everyday life.
It is full of color
and adventure.
Watch the children.
They don’t forget.
They don’t forget to smell the flowers
or have fun with life.
Be a child for a day.

Life could be so simple.
So pure.
The sun on your face.
The sand between your toes.
The cries of sea gulls.
The smell of salt water.
What else could be needed?

Why make something simple
as stairs into a complicated statue?
Why create a staircase with twenty steps
when it only requires four steps?
As human beings we love to complicate
everything around us.
We search for the complex solution when
the simple answer is staring us right in the face.
Simple can be just as elegant and rewarding.
