TWO-FACED WONDER
Beautiful rose.
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns.
Bright in the sunshine.
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.
TWO-FACED WONDER
Beautiful rose.
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns.
Bright in the sunshine.
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.
Beautiful rose,
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns,
Sharp to the touch.
Bright in the sunshine;
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.
Beautiful rose.
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns.
Bright in the sunshine.
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.
I cry alone in the dark night.
Lit by a fire from within.
The sun refuses to share light.
Moonlight hits me like a sharp pin.
Texas Bluebonnets Beautiful gorgeous pretty flowers
Walking in a field of Bluebonnets.
Everything is blue.
And blurry.
Blue everywhere.
Filling my nostrils
with their sweet fragrance.
Starting to feel drowsy.
Sleepy.
Eyelids growing heavy.
Maybe I’ll lie down for awhile.
Not so comfortable.
Stems are pointy.
But I’m still drifting away.
Somewhere over the rainbow…
Stingray – French Polynesia (by Jesse Estes)
The two sides of nature.
It reveals a beautiful face to the world.
swimming in the deep blue ocean,
spreading its arms far and wide.
It grins at the fish it passes along its way.
Content with the world.
Comfortable in its own skin.
But swim to close to this creature
and you will likely be hit.
It owns the ocean
and no intruders are allowed.
Like roses that are beautiful on the outside,
but have thorns that can tear the flesh,
so can people appear honest and friendly,
but at the same time,
can be planning your early demise.
Roses have sharp thorns.
