ANOTHER DAY IN FLORIDA

Sounds of footsteps.

Whistles and shouts.

The air grows heavy.

The streets fill with cars.

Men leap from vehicles.

They stand before the mob.

The town turns quiet.

Residents freeze in place.

Birds flee from trees.

Squirrels scamper to safety.

Another day in Oasis, Florida.

THE DEAD WILL FALL

Take me to Oasis,

where demons roam

and The Dead play.

Take me to Florida,

to the ocean paradise,

where good triumphs evil.

Take me to the shore,

where the residents gather

and The Dead will fall.

PARADISE LOST

Green Waves

PARADISE LOST

A town full of happiness and joy

Has turned sad like a broken toy.

Where once tourists frolicked in the sun,

Frightened residents are on the run.

Dark shadows roam the eerie night.

Victims abound from their fierce bite.

Hell hath no fury like a vampire’s wrath.

They plow down whoever is in their path.

We must kill the creatures of hell,

Then we’ll have a story to tell

Of how we survived an apocalypse.

A sad but true story from our own lips.

Cape Cod July 2013_-60 (by jackfrench)

Sunset brings the night,

With it dark shadows.

Hues of red fill the humid air,

Followed by high-pitched howls.

Residents hide behind locked doors,

As tourists huddle in their hotel.

The town waits deserted and quiet,

While the dark forest rumbles with music.

Dignitaries fly in from around the world,

Their limousines line the wooded paths.

Guests mingle and laugh in the glass house,

Where lifelike glass statues watch them.

Beneath it all lies an undercurrent.

One of evil and despair.

I’LL READ YOU A STORY

I will read you a story.

It might be all too gory

For you to understand

But I’ll give you a hand.

A blight falls on a town.

It’s sure to make you frown.

Residents  disappear.

I want to make this clear.

This isn’t a regular place.

Don’t give me that dark face.

It’s a place of evil creatures

And many more creepy features.

Dark shadows stalk the night,

Giving tourists a fright.

Florida can be a scary place.

I will soon pick up the poem’s pace.

The Dead want to kill you.

You’ll be their dinner too.
