Cover me in purple,
Flowing like wine,
Pouring over my body.
Let it trickle down,
Down to my mouth.
I want a sip
Of the purple nectar.

Pouring over my body.

Down to my mouth.
I want a sip
Of the purple nectar.
Open your eyes for me.
Sparkle and shine for me.
Purple on one side.
As deep as your pride.
Lighter on the other.
Pretty as they hover.

Wait for the night
to darken the sky
in deep shades of red
to purple fading to black.
Silence follows on gossamer wings
to quiet uneasy heartbeats,
to soothe the roaming beasts.
Wait for the night
to bring a dark veil on activities,
to unfurl the roaring waves.
Silence is here
and so is the night.

Wolni Lake in the North-West of Hamburg by Michi Lauke
An oasis for me
Under a purple tree.
Leaves fan my tired face
Far from the human race.
The view takes me away
Where the happy can play.
I close my heavy eyes
To shut out mankind’s lies.
As I walk slowly in a daze,
Surround me in a purple haze.
I could fall asleep in this tent.
The smell alone is heaven sent.
The scent of lilac is filling my head.
I need to find an appropriate bed.
I will just sit on this bench in the sun
And enjoy the lights of the setting sun.

Grand Cayman
A sizzle lights up the night sky
Followed by thunder up so high.
The black clouds rumble in dismay,
Crumbling like figures of clay.
Red soon joins the purple light,
Gearing up for a loud fight.
The sea’s quiet below,
Keeping its head down low.
We are in for a charged night
As nature gears for a fight.
Wait for the night.
To darken the sky.
In deep shades of red.
To purples fading to black.
Silence follows on gossamer wings.
To quiet uneasy heartbeats.
To soothe roaming beasts.
Wait for the night.
To bring a dark veil on activities.
To unfurl the roaring waves.
