ODE TO MY BOOK

Nothing can be as fine

As the dear book of mine.

It might not be sold in a big bookstore,

But you will not find one to offer more.

It was created with much love and hope,

Even though it wasn’t blessed by a Pope.

It has my blood, sweat, and tears.

Might raise many of your fears.

It has action, murder, and romance.

I can even do a little dance.

Please try it and you’ll see

It has the best of me.

THE DEAD GAME

RED GLOW IN THE NIGHT

Alexander Calder, Sumac V. 1953.

A red glow in the night.

Leading me astray.

Away from my plans.

Toward my doom.

Blood marks the way.

Toward a town on the shore.

Where the undead roam free.

Leaving a trail of bloodshed.

Dead bodies on the beach.

Mayhem their mainstay.

I must not follow this path.

To death and destruction.

For once one is bitten.

It is too late to go back.

A STRANGE PLACE

The mind can be a strange place.

It can think up dark stories.

With monsters and demons.

A little murder and mayhem.

Skulls and bones for decoration.

Maybe your cup of tea is blood.

Your coffee carries some poison.

Let your mind roam the darkness.

And maybe beyond.

THE DEAD

Source:

Black dots on the horizon.

Wave after wave of darkness.

Descending upon town.

Following the setting sun.

Welcoming the rising moon.

Circling the town hall.

Windows shattering around us.

Glass and bricks falling to our feet.

They enter from above.

To grab hold of the innocent.

To take them for their own.

Who will save our town from The Dead?

THE DEAD AND GONE

THE DEAD AND GONE

A town where the snow is black,
bringing coldness and fear.
Old remnants of tears held back,
and times too hard to bear.

Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.

Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead and gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far and wide.

Who will fall prey to The Dead?
I hope it is not me.
I’m hiding under my bed.
I’m afraid as I can be.

THE DEAD GAME

THE MOON FALLS

The moon falls in silence.

Into the sea it sinks.

Head is bowed in prayer.

We all know what it thinks.

“Leave this town right now,”

It says with its might.

It has no strength left

For the next great fight.

The Dead will walk the dark streets.

Shadows leave no trail behind

Of the murder and mayhem

That will all too soon be found.

An open door invites.

An open door beckons to visitors.

Who can resist an open door?

Who doesn’t want to take a peek inside?

What treasures might be hidden on the other side?

Or what evil might be lying in wait for us?

Open the door and find out.

I know you want to.

YOU DESTROYED ME

You destroyed me.

Now I have come back to destroy you.

The Dead are with me.

We want our revenge.

We have come home to claim it.

Wind, waves, storm, lightning, thunder…

Will follow us into town.

Beware Oasis!

I’m back!

THE DEAD GAME –A PARANORMAL MYSTERY

crazy waves

End House was gone.

But the town still held many secrets.

Who were Abe and Anna?

Were they really vampires?

And if they were: Were they good or bad?

So many questions needed to be answered

before Linda could feel safe again in Oasis, Florida.

THE DEAD ARE FOLLOWING ME

The nights are deadly.
Dark shadows stalk me.
I can’t escape them.
One is following me right now
From the party at End House.
The party to end all parties.
A deserted house filled

with traps and revolving rooms.
Just when I thought I was safe,
I have one of them chasing me.
I can hear its footsteps  behind me.
I can feel its hot breath on my neck.
I must keep running.
The wind flings leaves and dirt
at my already battered face.
I must not stop.
I keep running.
THE DEAD take no prisoners.
