CALM BEFORE THE STORM

The Dead are rising.

Cemeteries and crypts will be busy.

Wine will be flowing and so will the blood.

Come out, come out wherever you are!

Time is passing.

Night is approaching.

The moon is rising.

Dark shadows will walk the streets.

Take shelter before it is too late,

before you become one with the shadows.

Life can change in seconds.

The sun can be shining.

Then in moments,

you’re engulfed in a storm.

Palm trees are swaying in the wind.

Rooftops are flying.

The Dead don’t take prisoners.

THE SEAS

Source:

The sun hides its head

While the waves rage on.

The clouds turn away

While blood rushes on.

The moon shies away

While the tides bring death.

All hide faces in vain

While the seas bring the pain.

WELCOME THE NIGHT

WELCOME THE NIGHT

Welcome the night
And its friend, the moon.
Don’t take flight
From the man in the moon.

Let the moon take over
From the sun’s bright reign.
Let the sun take cover
Without hesitation or pain.

A thick blanket will fall,
Covering the earth with security.
Darkness will cover all
With its grace and purity.

The stars will twinkle and shine.
For the sun, do not pine.
It will be back tomorrow morning
So no need for any worrying.

THE MOON FALLS

The moon goes

through its phases.

Becoming smaller

each day.

Until it’s gone.

Leaving no trace

of its former self.

That is when The Dead

will come for us.

In the darkness.

In the coldness.

In the dark of night.

THE DEAD GAME

THE MOON’S TURN

The sun sets in fire,

Leaving for the day.

Hiding its bright face,

Refusing to stay.

It is the moon’s turn

To bring night to day.

Its white face a grin

As it wants to play.

Stars twinkle and glow

To brighten the sky.

The moon moves away,

Climbing way up high.

DEATH

blackout raven:

DEATH

Can you see it?

Can you feel it?

It circles the town.

On windswept nights.

Low in the darkening shadows.

Waiting and watching.

For the perfect moment.

When the moon rides high.

And the stars twinkle bright.

Death will make its entrance.

Circling closer to its prey.

Claws extended.

Beak facing down.

Its clutch sharp and pointy.

Who will save us now?

THE COVER OF NIGHT

THE COVER OF NIGHT

Night is settling in.

Shadows cover the small town.

A town preparing for the evening.

The sun hides its face.

The moon turns in glee.

Time for it to shine.

Time for it to be king.

Time for the stars to twinkle.

For the stars to serve him.

The town turns darker.

The winds become colder.

The soft snow begins to freeze.

Ice hangs from the trees.

Frost covers the windows.

All are inside.

All are safe and warm.

From the moon’s games.

Or so they think.

The moon’s fun

has just begun.

Who will be at its mercy?

Who will be left out in the cold?

Don’t let it be you.

THE NIGHT

quietmoodygirlbenjoyment: Last night’s Supermoon.

The night is here.

The moon creeps

through a thick maze of clouds.

The stars sparkle

in the dark blanket of sky.

Welcome the dark shadows.

The night walkers.

The dreamers.

The ghosts of past years.

Those who walk the earth

in the dead of night.

Welcome the night creatures.

All who are brave enough

to face the night.

For the night is here to stay.

A BLANKET OF MIST

A BLANKET OF MIST

Mist blankets the forest,

covering all from sight.

It hides the dark creatures

so you won’t run from fright.

Darkness will soon descend.

The moon will hide its face.

Run as fast as you can.

Before you get a taste.

Blood flows into the cracks,

left behind from the quake.

Cries shatter the silence,

giving no one a break.

We must wait for the sun

to free us from this place.

Light will lead us away

from what we fear to face.
