Open the door and peek inside.
I promise we have nothing to hide.
The sky is bluer on the other side.
The green grass is our finest point of pride.

Should we visit End House?
The beautiful house had almost been
destroyed in the last storm.
Pieces of its roof and shutters had
blown off in the winds.
The last family had disappeared.
Why did we receive an invitation
for a party at the deserted house?
Let’s go and find out.
THE DEAD GAME
Come and join THE DEAD.
They are eager for new followers.
Who will be their next victim?
Who will wash up on shore?
Find out in THE DEAD GAME.
THE DEAD are watching.
They watch from windows and doors.
Once the sun goes down,
they roam the town.
Be smart;
stay indoors.
THE DEAD love the night.
The wolves howl in warning.
Birds flee in fear from trees.
The Dead come at night
to claim their victims.
Unless they are stopped.
Who is strong enough to stop them?
Find out in THE DEAD GAME.
The ground rumbles.
The gravestones shake.
The door to the mausoleum creaks open.
The leaves rustle in the wind.
The dirt parts.
A hand reaches from a grave.
Bodies rise up from the earth.
The Dead are ready to play.

Deadly traps.
Vengeful spirits.
Join us if you dare.
THE DEAD GAME by Susanne Leist
A party in a deserted house.
Who sent us the invitation?
Is anyone living here now?
Curiosity killed the cat.
And maybe it will get us too.
Come with us.
The more the merrier.

A NIGHT NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN
A house balanced at the edge.
Daring all to enter its domain.
A black invitation in hand.
We go to the party.
Faced with deadly traps.
We run for our lives.
Down the rocks.
To the beach.
Winds bashing our faces.
Lightning lighting our way.
To the park.
To a gazebo lit by candles.
A hanging body inside.
Will this night ever end?

IN THE DARKNESS
The woods of Oasis are too quiet.
I should have stayed in the nearest Hyatt.
Now I’m here alone in this park
When I’m so afraid of the dark.
A party invitation indeed.
I shouldn’t have paid it any heed.
Could be a witches’ coven or vampire lair.
I can feel cold fingers pulling on my hair.
I must escape from these creatures fast
Before I become a thing of the past.

HELP ME
I’m trapped in the house.
The house at the edge of the forest.
A forest of darkness and nightmares.
Why did I attend this party?
An invitation to a night of games.
Games played to the death.
By those who are already dead.
Revolving rooms.
Cages descending from the ceiling.
Blood.
Bones.
No more.
I must get out.
THE DEAD can’t win this time.
We must fight for our lives.

WELCOME TO END HOUSE
The black cats hissed at me
as they walked back and forth
in front of the dark house.
“Don’t go inside,” the black cat said,
eyes glowing yellow.
“Don’t come any closer,” the second cat added, its black hair standing upright.
I looked up at the building,
its windows dark,
its shutters closed.
Should I go inside?
I was invited to the party.
A party by an unidentified host.
What to do?
“Help me,” calls a voice from inside.
I hear shrieks and crashing noises.
The front door opens.
I can only see darkness inside.
I look around.
The black cats are gone.
And so am I.

Costume designed by Eiko Ishioka (1938~2012)
Come to me, my pretty.
I’m waiting with open arms.
Grab hold of my gown.
I will take you on an adventure.
The bats will be your guide.
Don’t worry.
No one will harm you.
Unless I say so.
Would you follow her?
Would you wear that gown?
What else comes to mind
when you see a gown with bats?
