HAPPINESS

I’ve been dared to write a poem.

I sit here and I will show em

That I can write about bliss

But it will be hit or miss.

Happiness hasn’t been my friend.

On white wings heaven does not send.

I seek it every day.

A sneak of it I still pray

Will rain down upon me

Before I’m gone to sea.

IMAGINE…

A school for peculiar children.

How peculiar were they?

Murderers?

Psychopaths?

They sat around a circle.

Doing what?

Terrifying each other?

Or were they terrified

of their teachers?

Imagine the horrors.

Imagine the sadness

between these walls.

No wonder it closed down.

Where are these children now?

IT EXPLODES

End House explodes,

shattering from within.

The house groans

as it topples into the sea.

Leaving no trace behind,

no evidence of its existence,

its wicked mark on mankind.

Gone for good,

or so we hope

and with it,

The Dead.

DARK OF NIGHT

A shadow appears.

Dark as the night.

Moving closer.

Encompassing all.

An opening hole.

Of death and despair.

The grass trembles.

Flattened by its footsteps.

Beneath its terrible burden.

But it’s too late.

It’s here.

But I’m not.

RED RED ROSE

I stand alone.

In armies of red.

To face the night.

While others are dead.

Come no closer.

Fear my open face.

Stay away from here.

But they quicken their pace.

Tomorrow will be here soon.

l am all that is left.

Bow your heads in prayer.

Thank the gods for the test.

BRING BACK THE DEAD

Oh ouija board,

please bring me spirits.

Spirits of the light

and ones of the damned.

I want to hear their tales

of past lives and woes.

I want to feel

their unearthly presence.

Their dead breath

on my face.

Their moans and screams

of the long nights.

Please bring me them this night.

I can feel cold breath.

Shrieks fill the silent night.

Icy fingers trail down my face.

They’re at my neck.

Squeezing.

A little too tight.

Too tight…
