Beauty can be found in so many things,
including the unusual.
the remote and little known rice terraces of yuanyang county in china’s yunnan province were built by the hani people along the contours of ailao mountain range during the ming dynasty five hundred years ago. the terraces, once planted during the early spring season, are then irrigated with spring water from the forest above, which reflect sunlight to create the images seen here.

A work of art created by fields of rice.
All creatures of nature are beautiful,
no matter what creature this might be.
Let’s serve roses for dessert.
If we can’t have them in our gardens,
we might as well have them for dinner.
Here’s to spring fever!
I’m ready for spring.
I close my eyes and see
a field of purple tulips.
When I open them, I still see
snow on my grass.
I’ll just keep hoping and dreaming.
Eventually it will come true.
