KEEP DRIVING

KEEP DRIVING

Drive until the sun rises,

Until darkness lowers its head.

Drive without direction,

Without purpose.

Feel the wind through your hair,

Slapping your face.

No one can reach you.

No one can find you.

The sound of the wind for music.

The passing scenery for entertainment.

Others pass you;

Others seeking answers.

Find your answers.

Let your thoughts lead the way.

THE ROAD

Follow me on my journey.

Stay close behind.

I’m out for adventure.

Out to have some fun.

I don’t care if I have company.

More people to party with.

We’ll drive to the end of the road.

Then we’ll find another.

Until I’m far away from home.

Away from my troubles.

Away from people who bring me down.

Will you bring me down?

Are you from my past?

I must speed up and lose you.

I don’t want any old baggage.

I want to be free and light.

The car is gone.

Good!

Oh no!

It’s waiting for me up ahead.

I guess you can’t escape your problems.

They follow you everywhere.

ON THE ROAD

unreactive
The road ahead is wet and slippery.

The cars shine their red lights for me.

I follow in their slow wake.

Careful not to slip and slide.

Careful to keep my tires on the road.

My eye lids are becoming heavy.

My yawns grow wider.

I must continue on this road.

I must follow the other cars.

SPLIT SECOND DECISION

You’re driving down the road at a high speed,
listening to the squeal of your tires in protest.
Your tires are nearing the edge,
a steep drop to sharp rocks.
Is this what you want?
Is the adrenaline rush worth it?
You have a split second
to make the right decision.
What choice will you make?

A SPLIT SECOND

You’re taking the road at a high speed.

Listening to the squeal of your tires in protest.

Your tires are nearing the edge,

a steep drop to sharp rocks.

Is this what you want?

Is the adrenaline rush worth

a life of endless pain

or an end in darkness?

You have a split second

to make the right decision.

To decide upon your future.

What choice will you make?
