Throw dirt on me
And walk away.
But I will survive.
I will dig my way free.
The human spirit cannot
be extinguished.
It will continue to shine
despite evil’s attempts
to destroy it.
Look up to the white skies.
Magic before my eyes.
White flutters to the ground.
Without even a sound.
Masking the dirt with white.
So pretty and so bright.
If it could remain this way.
A blanket for one more day.
You can bury me.
Place in me in a deep grave.
Throw dirt on me
And walk away.
But I will survive.
I will dig my way free.
I will be back.
The human spirit cannot
be extinguished.
It will continue to shine
despite evil’s attempts
to destroy it.
It will shine forever more.
Who am I?
Who was I?
A man.
A woman.
A doctor.
A soldier.
Maybe a murderer.
Does it matter?
Does it matter anymore?
We all end up the same.
Underground.
Buried.
We end up as skeletons.
But it is how we are
remembered
that matters.
Our memory lingers on.
Remembered as a
doctor,
soldier,
or murderer.
It’s your choice.
You can bury me.
Put in me in a deep grave.
Throw dirt on me.
And walk away.
But I will survive.
I will dig my way free.
I will be back.
The human spirit cannot
be extinguished.
It will continue to shine
despite evil’s attempts
to destroy it.
Shine on.
The view from above.
People appear small,
tiny specks in the universe.
Cars are in constant motion.
Everyone is in a hurry,
going around in endless circles.
Going to work, and later
going back home.
Taking elevators up
and then down again.
What’s the hurry?
We all live the same lives.
We live and then we die.
Does it matter where we had
hurried around in between?
All that matters are
who we leave behind.
For these are the only
ones who will remember
that we had been here.
And why we had been here.
To hold life in your hands.
To have power to end its
existence or let it flourish.
Such power should never
be taken lightly.
WHY DO I LIKE CEMETERIES?
WHY AM I OBSESSED WITH DEATH?
I LOVE MURDER MYSTERIES,
HAUNTED HOUSE, VAMPIRES,
WITCHES, DEMONS, GHOSTS, AND
ANY OTHER CREATURE OF THE DARK.
WHEN I FIND THE ANSWER, I’LL LET
YOU KNOW.
BUT FOR NOW, I WILL READ AND
WRITE MY MURDER MYSTERIES.
