ROSE BUD

A BudA

A bud so sweet,

It can’t be beat.

Throwing off heat,

Enticing treat.

Its scent draws me near,

Still not feeling fear.

It soon becomes clear,

I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,

Near my face big and round.

I quickly hit the ground,

Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,

And I’m not hurting.

The sun is shining,

My bud is smiling.

LOST

Lost in the rain.

Beaten down.

Alone.

Tired.

Wet.

Ready to give up.

On life.

On the world.

Ready for my last breath.

Then the unexpected happens.

The sun comes out.

The birds begin to chirp.

A wet breeze hits my face.

I look up to the sun.

I don’t feel alone.

I feel alive.

I’m happy I’d waited.

Waited for time to pass.

For time to heal old wounds.

I’m ready to face the day.

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS — CONCLUSION

I’m standing in a thick darkness.
Where I am
I don’t know.
Maybe in a dream.
Or in a nightmare.
Ahead I see two scenes.
Two choices.

I can follow the sounds of the surf
and join the man swimming in the ocean.
An ocean filled with strong waves.
I can smell the salty air
and hear the pounding waves.
Or I can follow the path of flowers
and walk through the colorful archways.
The sweet smell entices me,
drawing me in.

What to do?
Is one choice better than the other?
The ocean can be exciting but also dangerous.
The path of flowers could be pretty but boring.
What should I do?
What would you do?

If I don’t wake up soon,
I will have to make a choice.
I close my eyes.
I open them.
I’m still here.
I’ll go with the safe choice,
since I’m a no risk person.
I’ll leave the adventure to someone else.

The flowers smell so sweet.
The sun shines above.
I can hear birds again.
Will I see my white bird?
Oh yes.
There it is.
Flying above me.
Did I make the right choice?

Oh, look.
I’m back home.
Where I started from.
I guess I made the correct choice.
The correct choice for me.

LOST IN THE RAIN

rainy-day-hd-wallpaper

Lost in the rain.

Beaten down.

Alone.

Drifting.

Tired.

Wet.

Ready to give up.

On life.

On the world.

Curled up in a ball.

Ready for my last breath.

Then the unexpected happens.

The sun comes out.

The birds begin to chirp.

A wet breeze hits my face.

I look up into the sun.

I don’t feel so alone anymore.

I feel alive.

I’m happy I waited.

Waited for time to pass.

For time to heal old wounds.

I’m ready to face the day.

DUST IN THE WIND

To be alone.

Under a tree.

In a garden.

No people.

No sounds.

Only the birds chirping.

The smell of the grass.

The heat of the sun.

What is that sound?

Oh, the wind rustling the leaves.

How beautiful.

How relaxing.

How perfect.

Oh no.

I hear more sounds.

It’s turning dark.

The sun has retreated.

Someone is coming.

I can’t see who it is.

It can’t be.

I’m dust in the wind.

PARADISE IS CALLING

What would paradise

look like to you?

I would say that it would

look like this picture.

A house in calm water.

The air smelling of flowers.

People moving in slow motion.

No need to hurry.

Warm breezes.

Sun shining.

Birds chirping.

What else could you

possibly ask for?

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

violin

The bird sings in his cage.

Happy to be alive.

The musician plays his violin.

In perfect harmony with the bird.

Nature at its best.

Beauty in its simplicity.

Food for our minds and souls.

AFTER THE STORM

The winds have taken their victims.

Tree limbs are scattered across the grass.

A quiet descends upon the land.

Animals begin to peek out from

their hiding places.

Birds begin to chirp in unison,

happy to be free again.

The earth regenerates itself,

preparing for the new day.

Soon the sun will shine.

The clouds will clear.

And all will be right

with the world once more.

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND JOIN ME

The scene looks peaceful and serene.
I could close my eyes and feel myself
sitting there in the shade of the trees.
I could hear crickets chirping and
fish jumping in the pond.
Close your eyes and join me.

The scene looks peaceful and serene.

I could close my eyes and feel myself

sitting there in the shade of the trees.

I could hear crickets chirping and

fish jumping in the pond.

Close your eyes and join me.

PERFECT FOR TWO
