Life can move along smoothly
Without bumps or surprises.
It can be so smooth that
It becomes boring,
Predictable.
The bumps are the spice of life.
The ups and downs.
The births and deaths.
The good with the bad.
We need the spice
To properly flavor the soup.
Enjoy the bumps.
Ride them with care.
Make them work for you.
A long journey to become an author.
Days of soul searching and hard work.
The words need to be enticing and clear.
A bridge to the reader’s heart.
A movie camera sweeps across scenes.
So does a book’s point of view.
One point of view shows one angle.
Changing points of view can reveal many more.
To be lost in a book is truly a gift.
An escape from the mundane and boring.
A visit to far away places.
An adventure to open your mind’s eye.
Once completed, a book is a treasure.
A symbol of an author’s hopes and dreams.
A confectioner’s delight to be tasted and savored.
To be remembered by many or just a few.

Roll in the grass.
Take a nap.

A keyhole.
Is all that we need.
To see.
To dream.
To imagine.
To look beyond.
Beyond the everyday.
To the world beyond.
Beyond our imagination.
To the unknown.
To be free.
Turn one block.
They all turn.
At the same time.
In the same way.
Just like people,
who follow one person.
At the same time.
In the same way.
How boring.
How useless.
If we moved in our
own unique ways,
life would be more interesting.
People would be more interesting.
Flap your pretty wings
and take flight.
Leave the masses behind.
Fly high to the sky and above.
Soar through the clouds.
Look down upon us.
At those left behind.
To lead our mundane lives.
Fly high and be happy.
Journey into the deep recesses of your mind.
Don’t take life at face value.
Let your mind and imagination soar to new heights.
Life won’t seem as mundane as before.
You will find new adventures, places, and people.
Maybe even a better reason for living and life.
Don’t hold back—let your mind go!
