A career in writing has been an enormous leap for me. Accustomed to the number-crunching field of budgeting and the hectic commodity markets, I left my first career and M.B.A. in Finance behind to pursue my dream. However, I do not regret my foray into literature for one moment. I write every day and have even tried my hand at poetry. So don’t let anyone tell you it’s too late in life to try something different. It is never too late to follow your heart.
THE DEAD GAME SERIES brings fantasy and surrealism to the classic murder mystery with dead bodies, suspects, and clues. In addition, it offers vampires and a touch of romance to spice the motley mix.
MEET ME IN MAINE, the first book in THE BLUE HARBOR SERIES, provides the backdrop for murder, mystery, and romance in a seaside town. Love falters and flourishes as the residents fight the persistent evil plaguing their small-town lives.
Sit back, put up your feet, and let me bring mystery and romance to your lives.

Hello Susanne, I should I say peek-a-boo, I remember you? I’m a bit of a ghost from the past at this point. It’s difficult to explain (for now) where or what had taken me away from WP, I’ve tried and tried for near 2 years, but simply couldn’t manage it. With the help of a loving friend I was able to get a post up last night/this morning, that explains in short version where I’d gone off to. While for sure not a post that will make anyone’s heart smile, I giggled (truth), because it’s a bit dark, and I know how you love the dark. 🙂 Grim yes, but i have learned to laugh through 99.99999% of it. Without laughter and gratitude, there is no coping. I’m happy to report that I have (thankfully), not lost my silly. I likely won’t be “back” on WP for some time, It’s still too difficult for me to deal with words, and to concentrate or multitask, but while attempting to look through the reader, which totally scrambled my brain, I came across your name and wanted to stop by before leaving, let you know I had thought of you, let you know that I managed to get something up to let everyone know where I’ve been, and to wish you a happy and healthy, wonderful 2018. Much Love, Kimberly.

Thank you! I hope you like it. I’ve learned a lot from writing it and from its reviews. I believe my writing has improved over the past three years since it was published. I’m in the middle of book 2, buried in outlines, plots, character arcs, subplots and so on. Hopefully, it will be meaner and leaner than book 1.

Thanks so much for your ideas. I’m going to use your services for my second book in the series. I’m in the middle of writing it. I had re-edited my first book according to my reviews. The publisher had edited it but it needed more polishing. I’m going to use all what I’ve learned in book 2. I’m going to stay off Goodreads. They all say the same thing but with hostility. The one star review I received last week was blacklisted by the group. She only read 20 pages and trashed it. Besides Goodreads’ reviews, my other reviewers have given me good advice.

Hi Susanne,
I’m back again to ask if I may nominate you for the Writing Process Blog Tour. I have been asked to write a post, & to do so I need to nominate three writers (& then answer three/four questions about my writing).
As you are one of the first writers I followed on this blog, & one that I still enjoy to read, I was hoping that you might say yes. If you do not wish to write the post, I will still include a link to your blog on mine as I do enjoy your work a lot & would like to help you spread it (I recently purchased The Dead Game so that I can read it once my exams are over!).
Best wishes,
Bethanie

Thank you for the follow Susanne. I appreciate it. You seem to have read a post that might not lead you to believe we have so much in common. I do love to write from the shadows and the darker side quite a bit. Both in poetry and a bit of flash fiction. the line you wrote in one of your poems, “Light the candle
and see where it leads you.
Will it take you out of the darkness,
or lead you further into it”
I showed that to a friend and they thought it was me. So I ask you if you find the time to drop by and read things such as “The girl in the window” and “Bloody Mary” short flash fiction and darker poetry is a really fun thing to me. Drop in any time and I look forward to sharing the shadows with you. Be well and keep inspiring

I don’t know if you know it, but your profile pic is a little blurry. It may be by design (I’ve had a few crazy peeps in my day, believe me!), but I think people are a little confused because they want to see you. Please don’t take that as mean or a criticism (I’ve got a background in that! My job.). I just want people to see you (or not), whatever you decide.
