THIS NIGHT THE TOWN WILL FALL

Kodak Ektar 100

A town hall in a small town.

Peaceful and quiet.

The building represents safety.

A shelter from the storm.

And from those who wish to do us harm.

High pitched chirping cuts through the silence.

We run through the doors on the wave of the tidal storm.

The building grows dark.

The sound of flapping wings surrounds us.

The windows shatter,

Flying creatures stream in.

Linda backs away.

Human faces on large ant bodies.

One creature grabs hold of Shana,

Swinging her up to the ceiling by her long hair.

This night the town will fall.

Linda has no more ideas or allies.

Time to say goodbye.
