A TREE
A tree.
A symbol of hope.
Standing for freedom.
Withstanding the storms.
Arms raised to the sky.
Forever more.
Stand with me.
Give me courage.
To hold my head up high.
Solid as your roots.
Forever more.
Stay with me.
As time goes by.
Alone I stand.
No friends nearby.
Forever more.
great picture and poem, really liked the symbolism, wouldn’t it be great if every person would donate or plant a tree to help save the world. Best wishes and blessings, Charles. 🙂

Thank you. In the past, I’ve donated money to plant trees in Israel. I wonder how they’re doing..

Susan it seems our thoughts crossed paths again. Before getting into my reader to see your poem, I mentioned a documentary Will to The Woods about Green burials and the fact when I die I want to be a tree!

Trees are strong and can last many years. That is, if no one chops them down. We could grow old together.
