ABANDONED

Abandoned Library (by katka.havlikova)

Books sitting on shelves.

Abandoned and deserted.

Knowledge lost.

Potential buried.

Frequent visitors.

The wind sneaking in

through curtains.

The sun peeking in.

Animals walking past

the discarded pages.

But no one that can read.

No one who cares.

The wind gives a moan.

I agree, ignorance is fast approaching because readers are few. It’s a horrible time.

It is much easier to sell handbags on Ebay than books on Amazon. But I’m determined.

That really is a haunting and disturbing picture. The words under it add to the loss and desolation. As a book lover, I”ll probably have nightmares of a world that looks like this. Wow.

Thanks. I think. You should visit one of my nightmares. I have a very active imagination. Nice to meet you, Susanne

Yes, I love those quaint independent bookshops but they’re in short supply nowadays. 😦
