My Interview with Elle Klass, Author

I am delighted to be interviewing Elle Klass. She writes beautiful books and I want her to tell you her story in her own words.

  1. Tell me a little about yourself.

I’m a California girl transplanted in Florida. I am addicted to Starbucks, reading, and having a good time. I can usually be found wearing a smile. Writing is my passion, and I love great movies.

  1. What books have you written? What genre are they in?

I have published As Snow Falls which is contemporary female literature or so I thought until I realized it has a better male following. I have been working on my Baby Girl Series, a collection of short stories about Cleo’s quest to find her humble or maybe not so humble beginnings. I have also written and will be publishing soon Eye of The Storm a horror/comedic novel.

  1. Why did you become an author? What led you down this career path?

I have always loved to write, creating my own fictional reality inside a book. It’s a medium for my imagination to go wild.

  1. Was it difficult to write your first book? Or did it come naturally to you?

My first book wasn’t difficult to write. I had an idea and didn’t stop until it was written. The difficult part for me is editing, editing, editing.

  1. What are some of your dreams and goals?

My dream and goal is to live on the beach in sunny Florida, along the panhandle, and write full time. I have been mapping out short milestones I need to reach in order to make that happen. I’m halfway there.

  1. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I read a lot. When I’m not reading or writing, I enjoy travelling, laying on the beach or watching a suspenseful movie. In the summer during the day I can usually be found at the pool floating under the sun.

  1. Who inspired you to become a writer?

I think reading is what inspired me to become a writer. I have always loved to snuggle up with a good book and get lost in its pages. I love when fans leave reviews or send me a message about how much they loved my book. That tells me they got lost in my world and enjoyed their stay.

  1. Who are some of your favorite authors?

V.C. Andrews is my all time favorite author. I still have my collection of her books that I purchased back when I was in high school. I also really love the Sookie Stackhouse books, although I’ve never read anything else by Charlaine Harris Over the past couple years I have started reading mostly indie books. My obsession started with memoirs of an Ordinary Girl: The Middle-ish Ages by Terri Klaes Harper and hasn’t stopped. Since that time I have found many other fabulous indie authors such as John Reinhard Dizon, P.S. Winn, Jeniann Bowers, John Tucker, and most recently Max E Stone. I could go on but I would have a book.

  1. What is in store for your readers next?

This summer I plan on releasing Baby Girl Book 3: City by the Bay and in the fall Eye of The Storm: Eilida’s Tragedy. I also hope to participate in NaNoWriMo again in November and I hope to release Baby Girl Book 4 sometime around Christmas-ish.
